3D Animation

Collaborating with Indigo Slate's exceptional team, I handled icon animation while specialists managed texturing, lighting, and modeling. When I presented my unconventional reference - a choreographed ballet performance - I received puzzled looks over video calls.

However, the dancer's graceful easing and rhythmic movement perfectly captured the emotional resonance and attention-drawing qualities I envisioned. Once the team understood my vision, the Creative Director enthusiastically embraced the refined animations that resulted.

A Few Early Explorations

I explored extensively with these animations, generating numerous low-fidelity hardware renders focused on rapid ideation over refinement. Most animations remained deliberately linear - lacking easing or character - prioritizing speed and volume of concepts over polish. The goal was quick iteration without attachment to any single idea. Eventually, I created a OneDrive folder labeled "THESE ARE BAD - DO NOT LOOK" - a testament to both our team's humor and the project's collaborative spirit.
